Alyza
Berman, LCSW
Founding Director
Alyza is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, specializing in the treatment of anorexia, bulimia, and compulsive overeating/obesity. She also works with individuals who suffer from depression, addiction, anxiety, and relationship issues. She received her Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Indiana University and her Master's degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Work.
Throughout her career, Alyza has worked at a weight-loss camp as both a counselor and as a certified aerobic instructor. She also worked as a therapist at both the Belmont Comprehensive Treatment Center for Eating Disorders and the Ridgeview Institute Women's Program. She facilitates weekly recovery groups and also speaks publicly at various schools and organizations.
Alyza has a passion for helping individuals and families achieve a healthy lifestyle and cope with life stressors, emotions, and relationships in healthy ways.
Keira Oseroff, MSW, LCSW
Founding Director
Keira is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, specializing in the treatment of eating disorders including anorexia, bulimia, and compulsive overeating/obesity since 2000. She also specializes in working with those that are learning to live life after bariatric surgery. Keira's other areas of interest include cross-addiction, depression and anxiety. She received her Bachelor's degree from The George Washington University and her Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Georgia.
Keira worked as therapist at The Ridgeview Institute for The Women's Center, Young Adult Psychiatric and Addiction Program and Adult Day Hospital. She led an ANAD (Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders) Support Group for several years, and is now a frequent speaker within the community.
Keira has a passion for helping families learn to enjoy meal time again without worrying about the stress and power struggles that often get in the way.
Jill Weinstein, LPC
Program Therapist
Jill is a Licensed Professional Counselor and works with children, adolescents, adults and families. Jill specializes in the treatment of anorexia, bulimia, binge eating and compulsive eating, and also works with families on the prevention of eating disorders. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Michigan State University and a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from New York University.
Jill began her career in New York working as a therapist at St. Luke’s Obesity Research Center. Since 2002, Jill has been in Atlanta working extensively with children, adolescents and families struggling with eating disorders, depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, and self-mutilation. Jill has worked in hospital settings, community agencies, and is currently in private practice.
Jill enjoys helping her clients face and overcome life’s obstacles and challenges, therefore helping them gain insight and understanding into themselves. Jill believes that with this insight, her clients will be able to learn from these obstacles and challenges and ultimately make them stronger and live a more satisfying, healthy and fulfilling life.
Julie Brake, MS, RD
Program Nutritionist
Julie is a Registered Dietitian, Licensed by the State of Georgia, specializing in family nutrition, sports nutrition, and prevention and treatment of disordered eating. She counsels clients for weight management and other nutritional concerns. She received both her Bachelor’s degree and her Master’s degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition from the University of Florida.
In the past, Julie has worked for the WIC program, adult hospitals, and a weight management program for adults. She now provides counseling and nutrition education through her private practice, Positive Nutrition, The Body Matters Program and works with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite.
Julie delights in helping families develop positive nutrition attitudes and behaviors in order to prevent disordered eating and enjoys helping people recover from unhealthy relationships with food!
